| The Philly Pops is an organization which develops amazing classical music performances which are showcased in the Academy of Music. Peter Nero, who has won a Grammy for his skill on the piano, leads the orchestra, and the Spring 2000 calendar looks might impressive. The two big performances will be 'Hooray for Hollywood' with Maureen McGovern and 'The Aristocrats of Swing' with Ann Hampton Callaway. Both look to honor the past with appropriate tributes and musical styles, and we recommend giving them a shot. |
